Owned by the Cruse family since 1945 – in association since 2013 with Jacky Lorenzetti (Châteaux Lilian Ladouys and Pédesclaux) – Château d’Issan shines in the top of the best Crus Classés in Margaux. Under the management of Emmanuel Cruse, the estate produces wines of great finesse on its 52 hectares of gravel ridges – including 30 hectares corresponding to the original clos – located on the edge of the Gironde. The blends are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside Merlot. The wines are characterized by their balance, silkiness and great aging potential. The estate produces a second wine, Blason d’Issan.
