Classified for red and white wines, Domaine de Chevalier is located on the outskirts of Bordeaux on a terroir of fine gravel. Owned by the Bernard family since 1983, it benefits from Stéphane Derenoncourt’s tomato advice. The property covers 60 hectares of red vines: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, with a complement of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; also includes 7 hectares of white: 70% Sauvignon, the rest Sémillon. Well structured, the reds from Domaine de Chevalier combine minerality, vibrant fruit and subtle spicy nuances with very good aging potential. Domaine de Chevalier’s great white wines offer fine citrus flavors and lovely mineral nuances. They are also designed for many years in the cellar.
