Mottura Selezione: unique, special selections, aromatic, structured but strong wines and the supreme expression of the two “basic” varieties of Salento: Primitivo and Negroamaro Both wines have a modern, vigorous but always elegant style that encapsulates the Mediterranean spirit.

In recent years “Stilio” has been added to the Mottura wine range. It is made from grapes selected from low-yielding vineyards in the Manduria area. One of the mouths used to obtain this wine is slightly raisins on the vine, which concentrates the aromas before harvest, due to a slight dryness and resulting in a water loss of 20-30%. The label is reminiscent of the old cultural tradition of the “peasant” of Salento, rediscovered in recent years: a spider stylized as a jewel on a black background. The symbolism of the spider, “taranta”, is important. His bite triggers the need for dance, music and colors, with a cathartic effect. All the liberating emotions that even the aroma of this wine could provoke.

Color: Intense dark red with violet reflections.

Bouquet: the wine has aromas of red fruit jam, morello cherries and prunes. Tertiary odors are vanilla and cloves.

Taste: The taste is velvety, full and harmonious.

Culinary Associations: We recommend pairing your wine with grilled beef, game, baked steak and mature cheeses.
